Living an Evolutionary Life is our flagship program, distilling over two decades of work in the field of higher human development into a 10-month transformational journey. Based on Andrew Cohen’s teachings of Evolutionary Enlightenment, this training accommodates all levels of experience. Many of us feel called to live a more spiritual life. We want to cultivate profound inner peace and stillness, but we are also compelled by the creative urge to catalyze innovation and change in the world around us. Living An Evolutionary Life will empower you with a path and practice that satisfies both of these aspirations. It will give you the tools, guidance, and exercises to cultivate deep freedom through meditation and embrace change as your spiritual practice.
Living An Evolutionary Life will teach you how to experience and access the two absolute dimensions of spirit, which Andrew Cohen calls The Ground of Being & The Evolutionary Impulse. You will learn powerful principles like the five fundamental tenets of Evolutionary Enlightenment. And working in small groups with experienced mentors, these tenets will come alive in surprising and liberating ways as you experience profound changes in yourself and your peers.
This will be just the beginning, because Evolutionary Enlightenment is about much more than personal transformation. Affecting profound cultural change is the deeper goal. Before long, you will start to realize that goal as you create an evolutionary micro-culture with other course participants—a thriving engine of development fueled by everybody’s shared commitment to evolve. With guidance from your teachers and mentors, you will also learn how to identify the inner obstacles to higher development and how to move beyond them. In short, you will come away with the experience and understanding to both live an evolutionary life and build a culture to support it.

At the beginning of each year’s program, we guarantee that everyone will develop in more ways than you can anticipate. By the end of the training, you will be astounded by how much developmental ground you have won. Living an Evolutionary Life is based on Andrew Cohen’s teachings of Evolutionary Enlightenment. Founder of this comprehensive contemporary Enlightenment path, Cohen has become known as one of the defining voices of the new evolutionary spirituality. Living an Evolutionary Life is the only yearlong foundational course created under Cohen’s direct guidance using his source material. With carefully curated 30-minute audios from Cohen, study questions, and monthly exercises, the course structure and materials will immerse you in a dynamic learning environment, which is infused with the bright penetrating clarity of enlightened awareness.

Learning Cycle and Course Structure
One of the distinctive aspects of this course structure is the EnlightenNext Learning Cycle—a tried and tested process for higher learning designed to help you understand, experience, and internalize the core principles of Evolutionary Enlightenment. Your study sessions will be dynamic as you move seamlessly through theory, experience, and practice, unpacking and inquiring into each core module via weekly conference calls.
Week 3: Q&A Session with Amy Edelstein and Jeff Carreira, with practice exercises designed to help you more deeply explore, understand, and apply key concepts and principles.
Week 4: Applied Inquiry in Small Groups — Intro to the inquiry with Amy Edelstein and Jeff Carreira, followed by a small group discussion with your EnlightenNext mentor on the practice exercises.
