A truly delightful articulation of the nature and implications for how we live when we have let go of everything. The power of this sentence, "There is no part of our lives that we can’t start to look at through the lens of total freedom." Yes when we consistently start to act as that total freedom we bring change not just to ourselves but to whole world. Thank you Morgan.

Morgan as you say meditation is the discovery of who we really are...endlessly mysterious and compelling ....it is a continuous thread....cushion, no cushion....there I AM.....it has nothing to do with experiencing this or that....only the capacity to respond wholeheartedly to life...this is the rudder that anchors me & challenges me again & again. It is my constant guide - what is my response one of contraction or one of openness....it is visceral prethought.

This post is written with great heart. I like your bridge metaphor. My more than thirty years of meditation has taken me into profound experiences, and these experiences have often re-directed my deep, personal perspective. Discovery of 'who I am' ....non other than nameless and formless infinite light and love broke down my falsely held understanding of myself as personality with a mind and body that was separate, and, often, blinded by false information feed into my mind since early childhood. Needless to say, this part of my practice wasn't a walk in the park. I grew up in a fundamentalist culture, traumatized as a child and came from a background where the odds of enlightenment and transformation was less than half percent. Maybe even less. But here is my point.....and story.
At the age of seven, in an orphanage, where fear was greater than any small child should ever endure, something profound happened that lead to my powerful awakening today...
A deep inner calm settled within me....a subtle voice, that is with me still today.....simply said, " you are not alone" then a vortex of love, a state of experience greater than any words can describe filled me up.
My life lead me to find this powerful state of infinite love and light, often so fleeting, yet powerful enough to act like an attractor field and bring me to my now permanent experience of this powerful Higher Love.
And, to me, this is the Real Bridge.....where the inner and outer are joined as One experience. For me that bridge, that first voice, that first taste of who I am, that personal knowing of Love and Infinite being is my Soul.....I am no longer identified with any sense of separate self....I am a beautiful and unique Soul, one with infinite Presence, that now has taken up permanent residence, incarnated in this form and its transmission of love and light expresses in the most profound and unusual ways. My surrender is on going.....my practice is simply the means that offers my own sanctuary where soul and infinite sustain how my soul shows up in the outer with its Love and Light.
I've come to appreciate how each of us embody our personal/impersonal experience....waking up and growing up is often both painful and joyful.....but it's meaning and purpose to evolve God in form is the greatest gift realized.
Much love,
Mary Linda

I've heard of a number of tehaecrs doing this and, in fact, had a skype conversation with my Zen teacher fairly recently. I've thought that this kind of conversation combined with streaming video (or the Youtube videos like you are doing) provide an opportunity for people scattered physically to still work with tehaecrs and advance their practice.
