Dates and Times
The first segment of the retreat will begin on Saturday, August 6, with dinner at 6:00 pm, and will end after breakfast on Wednesday, August 17. Registration begins at 2:30 pm on August 6. Plan to arrive between 2:30 pm and no later than 6:00 pm to give time to complete your registration and settle in before dinner. There will be a welcome and orientation meeting at 8:00 pm. Please note that there may be up to 10 hours of meditation per day during the first part of the retreat.
The second segment of the retreat will begin on Wednesday, August 17, with dinner at 6:00 pm, and the retreat ends early afternoon with lunch on Sunday, August 28. Registration begins at 2:30 pm on August 17, and the rest of the schedule for that day/evening will be the same as above.

The recently renovated Hotel Demidoff where the retreat is held, is a 4-star hotel situated on fifteen acres of greenery in the hills above Florence. Accommodation at the Demidoff is on a first come first serve basis. Once Hotel Demidoff reaches full occupancy, we will be offering off-site housing in a nearby beautiful hotel called the Villa La Stella.
Transportation via a complimentary shuttle will be provided daily during the retreat for those in off-site housing. Off-site housing and transport will only be offered for Part 2 of the retreat, not Part 1.
Important Accommodation Update:
- For the Being Retreat Only (Part 1): All single rooms for Part 1 are sold out.
- For the Becoming Retreat Only (Part 2): All remaining housing for Part 2 is off-site at the hotel Villa La Stella.
- For the entire Being & Becoming Retreat (Part 1 and Part 2):
For Part 1, all accommodation will be at the Hotel Demidoff (Please note that single rooms at the Hotel Demidoff are sold out). For Part 2, all housing will be off site at Villa La Stella.
All double and single rooms without a view on-site at Demidoff Hotel are SOLD OUT. Standard double and standard single rooms are now only available off-site at Villa La Stella. Single rooms with a view are SOLD OUT on-site at Demidoff Hotel but double rooms with a view are still available at Demidoff Hotel.

To reserve a place on this intensive, please register here. You will need to submit a deposit of €500. The balance is due by July 8th, 2011.
Cancellation
There will be a €80 cancellation fee for written requests received before July 6. Written cancellation requests received after July 6 will be charged a €500 cancellation fee. The retreat begins on August 6; no refunds will be provided on or after that date.
If you request to switch your retreat choice after you had registered, there will be an additional €30 administration fee. For those who request to attend the whole retreat after registering for one part, the administration fee is waived.
Schedule
The schedule and times of sessions with Andrew will be announced during the intensive and may vary from day to day. Generally however, you will engage in two or three sessions with Andrew each day, which are devoted to silent meditation, talks, open dialogues with Andrew, or a combination of these. In part 1, there will be more sessions dedicated to meditation and will be largely in silence. In part 2, the periods between sessions are an opportunity for participants to pursue their own independent inquiry into the meaning and significance of Evolutionary Enlightenment, either through personal meditation and contemplation or in the discussions that are always a powerful and transformative feature of these events.
What to Bring
The weather in Italy is typically hot and sunny in August, though the hills can cool down in the evenings. Thunderstorms are not uncommon. Because the retreat locale is air conditioned, a light wrap or sweater could be useful. Comfortable summer clothing that can be layered is recommended. There is a swimming pool on site.
Books, Audios, and Videos
Andrew’s books, audios, and videos, as well as information on future events, will be available at the end of both retreats. It will also be possible to purchase CD and MP3 recordings of all of the sessions.
